MGI Europe Announces New Governance
MGI Worldwide is excited to announce the new European Board, unveiled at our recent MGI European meeting in the vibrant city of Warsaw, Poland.
MGI Worldwide Chairman and International Committee Member representing Europe, László Killik, and European Director, Zoltán Paksy, welcomed the new board members with enthusiasm.
Regional Organisation
In Europe, our organisation is structured into four Circles representing key commercial and economic regions: Central Europe, Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Nordic Region. The management of MGI Europe has been overseen by a Coordinating Committee consisting of two members from each Circle, a Treasurer, the Chairman, and the Regional Director.
Time for a Change
Over the past few years, only the Central Circle remained active, resulting in no rotation of board members from the other circles. Additionally, the MGI-CPAAI merger expanded the European Coordinating Committee by including four members representing European CPAAI firms. Recognising the need for change, the board invited four former European Board members to form a European Election Committee.
Members of the Election Committee
Erik Emilsson from Revideco in Sweden
Francesco Bartolucci from MGI Studio Pragma in Italy
Morten Ryberg from Redmark in Denmark
Stéphane Loubières from FCN in France
The Election Committee was tasked with reforming the existing board structure. They applied the following principles when recruiting new board members:
Decision Power - Candidates must be at the partner level.
Gender - Ensuring a balance between men and women.
Age - Balancing different generations of partners.
Skills - Ensuring diversity of practices.
Experience - A minimum number of years in the field.
Firm Size - Balancing representation between small, medium, and large firms.
