MGI UK & Ireland hosts Audit Forum alongside Alternative Accountancy Summit attracting ‘top 300’ Firm Leaders
MGI UK & Ireland was excited to participate in the Alternative Accounting Summit that brought together accounting industry leaders for discussions on Management, IT and Audit. Coinciding with this summit was the MGI UK & Ireland Audit Forum, held in-person beforehand, which helped encourage strong MGI representation at the summit.
Rachel Pugh, Regional Director for MGI UK & Ireland, was happy to represent the network with the active support from our UK & Ireland member firms.
Rachel comments:
“I was excited to attend the Alternative Accountancy Audit Summit, along with a number of our MGI members from the UK & Ireland. It is a great opportunity to network with other firms and meet new industry technology and service providers. There were some great speakers, it was afantastic event!”
MGI’s engaging contributions at the event
Mark Smith from member firm Milsted Langdon LLP, and Martin Chapman from member firm Ensors, chaired round table discussion groups and Sophie Woodburn, of member firm F.W. Smith, Riches & Co., sat on a discussion panel entitled ‘What do future generations of accountants and leaders want from their careers and employers?’, contributing her expertise as the Shadow IC member representing the region. Sophie's role in building momentum for MGI's Tomorrow's Leaders group, which brings together next-generation leaders from across the global accounting network, was also highlighted.
A big thank you all our members who took part in the event!
