Who are DLS & Associates Bahrain?
DLS was established earlier this year as the Audit arm of parent company Empower Business solutions. Empower Business Solutions, founded in March 2013 by Emma Almansoori, offers a range of business consulting services to small and midsize businesses in Bahrain and the GCC region.
Our key contacts at DLS & Associates are Emma Almansoori, Managing Director and Sumit Dhadda, Audit Partner.
Emma holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bahrain and has 18 years of experience in the financial sector. She is well versed in international finance and audit practices having held several key positions in Canada and Bahrain.
Sumit is a qualified Registered Valuer & Insolvency Resolution Professional with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Rajasthan. He has extensive experience in Statutory Audits, gained while working with the Big4 audit firms in Bahrain.
Working alongside Emma and Sumit is Harsha Ramnani, a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the consultancy, auditing & assurance fields, particularly within the Textile, Real Estate, Automobile Components, Shipping, Health Care, Banking, FMC and Power Sector industries.

A brief introduction to Bahrain
Bahrain is an island nation comprised of 33 natural, and 51 artificial islands, centred around the largest of these, Bahrain Island, with approximately 83% of the country’s landmass. Bahrain is located between the Qatar peninsula and Saudi Arabia’s north eastern coast.
Although its economy is heavily dependent on oil and gas, Bahrain has invested heavily over the last years in the banking and tourism sectors. Its banking and financial services sector, particularly Islamic banking, have benefited from the regional boom driven by demand for oil. As the World Bank points out, Bahrain, along with all the other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, now faces the unprecedented challenge of coping with the dual shock of the COVID-19 pandemic and a collapse in oil prices.
